Membership & Chapters

SkillsUSA serves middle school, high school, and college/postsecondary students enrolled in career and technical education programs, along with educators and professional members.

Students join through a local school chapter. A chapter advisor completes membership through the national SkillsUSA registration system.

Start with the New Advisors page. SkillsUSA Utah can help an educator or school administrator launch or reactivate a chapter.

Yes. Competitors must be registered, paid SkillsUSA members by the published eligibility deadline.

Events & Competitions

The 2027 Utah Leadership & Skills Conference is scheduled for March 25–26, 2027.

Contests are hosted across Salt Lake Community College campuses and additional college or industry locations in the Salt Lake Valley. Locations vary by competition.

Students should work with their advisor, review the competition descriptions and Technical Standards, and select an event that fits their program and experience.

Eligible state gold medalists may advance to the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, subject to national and state requirements.

The national SkillsUSA registration system manages membership and conference registration.
